Newagen Seaside Inn Wedding | Kim & Andy

Ok, I’m not going to lie.  If you don’t like cute seahorses, you might want to look away.  But for all you lovers of elegant-yet-preppy Maine coral and navy blue lovers of seahorses: this amazing Newagen Inn wedding is for you!

Kim gave all her bridesmaids the most lovely gifts–individual scarves with various nautical themes & a set of earrings and jewelry to wear on the day.

Now let’s talk about Andy.  It’s like he stepped out of a Hollywood film…a swanky star from the 1940’s….uber stylish and unique in his vintage tux.  He too wove some elegant nautical themes into the groomsmen attire–some hand made cuff links with nautical charts. All Saints Chapel is a true hidden gem…nestled deep in the pine woods on the shore of Boothbay.  With the lone bag piper on the dock ushering all the guests to the chapel, it felt so magical and enchanted.I just couldn’t get enough of the light streaming in through the windows of the chapel.  Kim & Andy gave me and my second shooter Wendy Freedman the rare opportunity to shoot portraits for an entire hour after the ceremony on the chapel grounds.  It reminded me how much I love doing portraits when the couple, the location, and the light all conspire in just the right way.Ok–this is an “homage” to my friend Nadra.  The bride had a famous image by her in the pinterest images she showed me for inspiration.  I think we NAILED it, if I do say so myself.  I like it when couples show me images they love–I won’t usually copy any image because I feel like my couples give me all the natural inspiration I need–but it does definitely give me an idea of what the couple loves…romance, or drama, or candids etc.I love this photo crafted by Wendy Freedman, our second photographer for the day.  Love having that second set of eyes all day.Newagen Inn is one of my favorite all time spots for weddings on the coast of Maine.  It has everything a couple and their guests could need…to die for setting, laid back and friendly service, great food, and excellent service.  They also have several cabins and inns on the expansive resort property for guests to stay in if they choose.  Boothbay Harbor, a very short drive away, also has some fun nightlife, lodging, and sight seeing for your guests.  It doesn’t get much better for that classic Maine guest experience than the picturesque Boothbay Region.Yes, that’s right.   A hand made Rice Krispy Cake.  And it was actually DELICIOUS.  Seriously.Oh, and a rainbow to add to their already enchanting day.  I expected to see a coral seahorse swim up to the tent after that (or a leprechaun…same thing). And the magic continues…because right exactly as the cocktail hour ended and the reception began–the sun came streaming into the tent. Charmed day! This is really how beautiful Newagen is…we had time to do some fun exploring for that perfect location.  Kim & Andy enjoyed their day and carved out enough time to soak it all up.Perfect end to a truly wonderful wedding day.
