Something Blue…A Cliff House Wedding

Blue, blue, electric blue.  This wedding was very much Something Blue worthy on many levels.  It’s gorgeous…it’s on the bold rocky coast of Maine…pretty details, beautiful bride…um let’s see…what else…oh yeah, it’s totally blue.   In a very good way.Jessica and Brian’s seaside wedding, or rather cliffside wedding, just made me smile.  I was there the entire day, photographing, and it was such a pleasure.   Yes, the details were fun to document (did you see those shoes!!??)..but mostly the couple had a relaxed, casual approach to their day.  The emphasis was on family and fun and the amazing setting. They decided to see each other before the ceremony (first look) so they could enjoy the entirety of the cocktail hour and reception without missing out on any family photo opportunities.Jessica’s mom has some health issues and it was so special for me to be able to document the unique bond they share.  Weddings are an important time to capture these historic family records for generations to come.  Make sure and find the right photographer & videographer who shares a love of the things you love…family, details, and all the unscripted moments of celebrations are what Jess and Brian wanted to remember.Brenda’s Bloomers has a singular style that shone through at this wedding.  From the stunning chuppah, to the startlingly blue hydrangea bouquets, to the classic elegance of the reception and cake flowers…her floral design was the icing on the cake.Ok…I’ve seen lots of great bands in my days…but Cindy & Bob Charest of The Bob Charest Band had such an energy and presence that I found it hard not to shake my booty during the dance shots!   They sang standards as well as fun top 40 dance music.   Amazing band and great people to work with.Things we love about Jessica & Brian’s wedding…

The Bob Charest Band…seriously…amazingly fun and talented band.  Cindy, Bob and the rest of band pretty much blew everyone away.
Brenda’s Bloomers…does it again with the beautiful palette, chuppah and reception floral.
Brigid Morelly…the day of wedding coordinator who catered to everyone’s needs all day and was a complete pleasure to work with.
Freedom Day Salon…for the natural hair and make up service.
The Cliff House…um, for the cliff!  And the top notch service.
Bread & Roses…for the beautiful, classic cake.
Hindsight Video…Bryan Powers was a pleasure to work with and we can’t wait to share his video right here!  Stay tuned…
Geneve Hoffman Photography…ok, it’s me!  And I really loved working with this couple.
And last, but not least…Jessica & Brian for bringing an elegant, modern twist to the something blue theme and rocking it!
