Baby it’s cold outside! But it’s warm and sunny at Something Blue today! This Castine, Maine wedding highlights so many of the things we love…a seaside setting, beautiful historical architecture, a sunny day and a bride and groom who beamed all day!
Castine really is such a perfect seaside town! Definitely worth a visit when exploring Maine’s coast line. You can just feel the love! The kelly green maids dresses are so fresh, bold and summery.Great details! Love the hits of kelly green in the ties and invites….You can never go wrong with accessorizing your maids with pearls!Every couple planning an outdoor wedding in Maine can only hope for this perfect of a day! And who cued the sailboat?! Really what fantastic timing!Classic getaway … it’s always nice to have some time to yourself after the ceremony, why not make your exit in style.Like I said from the beginning, these two just can’t stop smiling! As it should be. And wait…the gorgeous dress…just the right amount of lace detail, lovely skirt and romantic full length veil. We saw alot of lace in bridal gowns this past summer!Love how the bride added a wide sash around her waist for the reception. An understated yet chic detail that changes it up a bit for dancing and merry making.Of course the day ended with fireworks! What perfect wedding wouldn’t?
Things we love about this wedding…
The Manor Inn of Castine for the ideal setting!
The organically grown, field fresh, local and lovely flowers from Jeanne Russell of Verona Island Flowers...adding more love because they are local and organic!!!!
And Something Blue’s own Geneve Hoffman Photography for capturing the day beautifully.
