Vintage Late Summer Wedding, The Whitehall Inn, Camden

camden_weddings_0001Sarah & Shawn’s September wedding in Camden Maine has all the glamour of a 1940’s Hollywood film set–which is appropriate considering many a film noir has been set and filmed in this picturesque harbor town.geneve_hoffman_0002Their palette was a stunning and unexpected fusion of bright blue and crimson red.  They pulled it off brilliantly.geneve_hoffman_0003The couple rented out the house across from The Whitehall Inn and it had many fun places to photograph plus tons of room in which the entire wedding party can prepare.  Details like this make the wedding day more fun for everyone.geneve_hoffman_0004The bride carried images of her grandmothers in her bouquet.geneve_hoffman_0005Images like this, while of course we have seen before tell a story that makes the viewer want to know more!geneve_hoffman_0006Shawn is part of the internationally known band The Sheila Divine and his cool style came through.  Sarah wore her couture dress and vintage details like a goddess!geneve_hoffman_0007Sarah & Shawn were so relaxed on their wedding day…love this fun moment!geneve_hoffman_0008Grey and red added to the rich and romantic palette.geneve_hoffman_0009The light in September has a warmth and clarity that makes it one of the most popular times of year for a mid coast wedding. The couple took full advantage of the beauty and drama of Bok Auditorium.  The term ring bearer took a twist, as Sarah’s nephew rang a bell during the precessional.geneve_hoffman_0010The Whitehall Inn has it’s own vintage limo to take the bride and groom around town in style.  Plus makes for a memorable arrival!geneve_hoffman_0011The entire wedding walked across the street after the ceremony and did a quick group photo in front of beautiful Camden harbor.  They utilized all the locations of the setting very well and this will make for a diverse and pretty final album.geneve_hoffman_0012The grooms daughter was an integral part of the wedding and she looked like a princess!geneve_hoffman_0013The table cards and floral provided a wonderul thread to weave their entire palette together.geneve_hoffman_0014The brides nephews were part of the wedding party and this moment was caught while they were waiting for the limo.geneve_hoffman_0015Bok Amphitheatre has many nooks and crannies for the photographer to play with.   The setting provides classic granite steps and lots of romantic little details.geneve_hoffman_0016The reception was swanky and classy.  Sarah’s father is a big band leader and they played well into the night in high style.geneve_hoffman_0017Things we love about Sarah & Shawn’s wedding…
